All trails currently closed. We need more snow. Some areas got up to 6”, but it’s fluffy and dry. Hopefully the ground continues to freeze up and the “storm” next week delivers. Please respect our landowners and stay off the trails. Your trespassing if you ride on closed trail. Thanks! HSF ... See MoreSee Less

I'm new to the club as of last season. Can anyone help me with where to look for trail status? I can't find anything current, and with 12" of snow in Spencerport area, there must be an update, even if they are closed. ... See MoreSee Less

Quick club update. Typically we hold a general club meeting once a month throughout the season. Due to restrictions on gatherings at our meeting venue, we have not, and likely will not, been able to this season. At those meetings we cover things like trails, budget, equipment, etc. We will be sending out an email to members shortly to cover these items in more detail. The short version, fundraising is down and membership is down, but for this season at least, our budget is solid. Our groomers are prepped and ready for snow. Trails are cleared and marked with a few exceptions to the south, but we should be ready when the snow hits. Thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors and keep the snow dance going! Thanks, HSF ... Just a reminder for those that may not know, trails cannot open until after hunting season. Regardless of snow, the soonest we could open is December 23 this year. Riding on closed trails is trespassing, and if we upset a landowner, we loose trail. With our trail system, we are only ONE landowner away from closing large portions of our system. With the population density of the area, reroutes are often impossible. Please respect our landowners. Thanks, HSF ... See MoreSee Less

Snowmobile Trails In Jeopardy

Wednesday, 27 February 2013

CATTARAUGUS, N.Y. (WIVB) – Snowmobiling is popular throughout Western New York and for people to be able to take part in the recreation, the sport relies heavily on volunteers and private land owners to host the trails.

The money for registration goes to the volunteers for groomers, signs, gates, trail development,  and potential excavation.
