Happy New Year, everyone! We’re hoping for the longest riding season we’ve seen in decades.![]()
With that said, safety is our number one priority, and unfortunately the trails are not ready to open yet. This weekend will involve a large-scale work detail to begin preparing the system.![]()

Due to the NYS extended holiday hunting season, which continues through dark on New Year’s Day, several sections of trail have not been worked on since the first day of deer season (October 1st) at the request of landowners. In addition, the recent windstorm and heavy rain have resulted in numerous downed trees throughout the trail system.![]()

We will be posting an update in the next few days identifying the specific areas where we will need as many volunteers as possible.![]()

The forecast is looking favorable for some accumulating snow this week. After the recent high winds, we expect to have several downed trees to address, along with more trail marking to complete.![]()

If snowfall amounts cooperate, we’ll need at least the upcoming weekend to get everything ready before opening the trails. Many areas are still inaccessible due to hunting season.![]()
